Taking a boat ride upstream towards the delta is one of the experiences not to be missed. This should be done in the morning so that you are birding with the sun behind you. The area around Red Chilli Rest Camp is another good birding area as is the Nile Safari Lodge area, situated right above the Nile with superb views over several islands.
